Job Description

Senior Python Developer building RAG pipelines, autonomous agents, and MCP integrations for SOFTSWISS’s AI ecosystem. Designing scalable AI services with Python, distributed systems, and enterprise data.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within an agile team using Scrum methodology
  • Participate in strategic planning of the AI roadmap
  • Engage in architectural, infrastructure, and strategic decision-making for AI-enabled services
  • Design and implement production-ready Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
  • Design and implement agentic workflows leveraging internal data
  • Integrate Model Context Protocols (MCP) to standardize AI tool interactions with diverse data sources and environments
  • Conduct code reviews for other team members
  • Maintain high standards for documentation and testability
  • Design and build AI-enabled solutions including RAG systems, autonomous agents, and MCP integrations
  • Help shape the architecture of the AI ecosystem and ensure internal tools are robust, scalable, and integrated with enterprise data

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience
  • At least 4 years of recent programming experience with Python as the primary language
  • Strong understanding of Python internals, including asynchronous programming (asyncio), memory management, and performance profiling
  • Proven experience building RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems
  • Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or CrewAI
  • Solid knowledge of Linux and proficient command-line skills (Bash/Shell)
  • Solid knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and scaling containerized applications
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL), including query optimization and schema design
  • Experience with Redis for caching and state management in distributed systems
  • Familiarity with the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for logging, monitoring, and observability
  • English proficiency at an Intermediate level or higher
  • Experience with vector databases and semantic search optimization is nice to have
  • Experience implementing Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar interoperability standards is nice to have
  • Understanding of distributed application principles and microservice architecture is nice to have
  • Familiarity with modern back-end design patterns is nice to have
  • Experience in fields where data security and integrity are paramount is nice to have
