Job Description
QA Engineer Senior at Evertec responsible for defining and evolving testing strategies. Collaborating on automated tests and ensuring quality in complex systems.
Responsibilities:
- Define and evolve the testing strategy (functional and non-functional)
- Develop and maintain test automation (web, API, E2E, performance)
- Work hands-on with coding and QA frameworks
- Conduct PoCs, test new technologies and drive continuous improvements
- Analyze risks, trade-offs, and the impact on quality decisions
- Work with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud environments
- Support the team as a technical reference for quality
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
Requirements:
- Solid experience as a Senior QA Engineer or similar
- Strong background in test automation
- Knowledge of tools such as: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman, REST Assured or similar
- Programming in at least two languages (JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#)
- Experience with API, integration, E2E, and performance testing
- Experience with modern architecture (microservices, cloud)
- Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of practices such as TDD, BDD, CI/CD
- Nice-to-have: Experience with AI applied to QA (test generation, failure analysis, automation)
- Experience with security testing (SAST, DAST, OWASP)
- Experience in accounting, tax, or financial systems
- Experience with legacy systems (e.g., PowerBuilder)
- Hands-on, results-oriented profile
- Analytical mindset with product and business perspective
- Ability to influence technical decisions
- Proactivity and autonomy
- Clear communicator and collaborative with cross-functional teams.
