Job Description
Lead SAP ABAP Consultant responsible for developing custom SAP solutions across various modules. Collaborating with teams and ensuring high-quality, scalable ABAP developments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead ABAP development efforts across SAP modules (ECC or S/4HANA).
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, code, test, and debug custom SAP programs including reports, enhancements, forms, workflows, and interfaces.
- Guide and mentor junior ABAP developers, perform code reviews, and enforce best practices.
- Develop and maintain objects using: ABAP Objects (OOABAP), Smart Forms, SAPScript, Adobe Forms, Enhancements (User Exits, BADIs, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements), ALV Reports, BDC, LSMW, Interfaces using BAPI, IDoc, OData, RESTful APIs.
- Implement CDS views, AMDPs, and performance-tuned logic for SAP HANA-based systems.
- Ensure compliance with development standards, security, and performance tuning best practices.
- Participate in end-to-end project lifecycle including requirement gathering, solution design, unit testing, UAT support, and deployment.
- Work within Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall frameworks as applicable.
- Support project planning, resource estimation, and timeline tracking.
- Proven experience in managing parallel project implementations and production support activities, ensuring timely resolution of Incidents and Service Requests, prioritization of work, and adherence to SLA and ITSM processes.

- Strong hands-on experience in Core and Advanced ABAP
- OO ABAP and Modular Programming
- Enhancements: BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits
- Reports: Classical, Interactive, ALV
- Forms: Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, SAPscript
- Data Migration: BDC, LSMW
- SAP Gateway and OData Services
- CDS Views, AMDPs (ABAP on HANA)
- Interface Development: IDoc, BAPI, Proxy, REST/SOAP APIs
- Debugging, Performance Tuning, SQL Trace, Runtime Analysis
- Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
