Job Description
Senior Software Engineer developing AI-augmented Hyperautomation and Workflow-Management products for DATAGROUP. Designing, building, securing, testing, and deploying scalable fullstack applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality software products in the area of hyperautomation and workflow management using AI tools
- Take ownership of complex full-stack projects
- Analyze SRS documents, clarify open issues with stakeholders, and translate business requirements into software architectures
- Design data models and ER diagrams
- Define RESTful and OpenAPI interfaces
- Develop security concepts according to OWASP standards
- Implement scalable applications using backend and frontend technologies
- Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies
- Ensure code quality through reviews
- Proactively identify security vulnerabilities such as XSS, SQL injection and CSRF
- Deploy to self-hosted servers
- Set up CI/CD pipelines
- Optimize monitoring dashboards
- Critically review and optimize AI-generated code and detect architectural flaws
- Communicate technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Present solution options including pros and cons
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable vocational training as an IT specialist (application development)
- Several years of practical experience in software development, demonstrable via portfolio or project references
- Daily productive use of Claude Code, GitHub Copilot and Cursor
- Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and database design
- Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL and MySQL
- At least one backend language at senior level: Node.js, Python, Go, C# or Java
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks: React, Vue.js or Angular, with at least one at senior level
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern UI/UX patterns
- Strong understanding of the OWASP Top 10
- Practical experience with authentication and authorization, including JWT, OAuth, RBAC and SSO
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins
- Ability to deploy applications to self-hosted servers, not only cloud environments
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
