Job Description

Senior Solutions Engineer designing satellite communication and analytics solutions for Quvia, which orchestrates connectivity across edge and cloud networks. Leading customer discovery, POCs, system deployment, troubleshooting, and cross-functional delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to understand customer requirements and design tailored satellite communication solutions
  • Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to determine the best solutions for new customers
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and testing of Quvia systems across different business verticals
  • Troubleshoot complex issues during the POC phase and work with customer, QA, and Engineering teams to deploy fixes
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for solutions and services
  • Act as a technical advisor to customers on best practices and optimal use of terrestrial and satellite communication systems
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers and internal teams on Quvia products and their value proposition
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in Quvia systems
  • Coordinate with sales, product management, systems, engineering, QA, and service delivery teams for successful project execution
  • Manage handover from POC to service delivery and support
  • Architect solutions across a variety of hardware and contribute to the implementation and quality of Quvia's next-generation products
  • Set expectations, communicate progress and action items, manage project plans, balance workloads, and ensure commitments are met

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field
  • At least 3 to 5 years of customer-facing solutions engineering experience
  • Experience owning technical discovery and scoping, with a prototyping mindset supporting demos and the entire POC lifecycle
  • At least 3+ years implementing networking concepts
  • Strong Linux command-line skills
  • Scripting experience in Python or Bash
  • Comfort using REST APIs and JSON for integration work
  • At least 3+ years sizing, testing, and validating server hardware
  • Familiarity with hypervisors such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM
  • At least 3+ years of front-end development experience for quick dashboards using a JavaScript framework or tools such as Grafana
  • Working knowledge of data engineering and analytics, including pipeline building, SQL, and converting network telemetry into insights
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to handle competing priorities simultaneously
  • Preferred: network telemetry and observability fluency across SNMP, NetFlow, IPFIX, syslog, SQL, and Grafana
  • Preferred: vertical domain experience in aviation, maritime, cruise, hospitality, or offshore energy
