Job Description
Senior Threat Intelligence Specialist analyzing open-source cybersecurity incidents and vendor risks at Fortress Information Security. Producing assessments, improving intelligence processes, and supporting critical infrastructure protection.
Responsibilities:
- Identify cybersecurity-based incidents continuously, including breaches, threats, and exploitable vulnerabilities
- Leverage documented methods and procedures to produce initial assessments by validating open-source information across various sources
- Critically evaluate and identify risks discovered in incidents
- Define and/or document new or improved methods and procedures during team quality control
- Assess designated vendor risk
- Anticipate, recognize, report, and resolve disparities with team members
- Create professional write-ups based on assessment findings
- Conduct open-source research and search engine optimization
- Evaluate security incidents and analyze associated risks
- Review assessments and conduct quality benchmarks on results from monitored websites
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers about reported incidents
- Analyze and enhance security and content verification delivery processes
- Continually develop technical skills
- Own delivery process documentation
- Support internal tool testing for regularly scheduled deployments
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5+ years of open-source research, Python, and cybersecurity continual intelligence analysis
- Knowledge in SQL, Python, and OSINT Tools and Techniques
- Experience in data management
- Ability to research and analyze open-source information
- Critical thinking and analysis
- Enhanced knowledge of cybersecurity
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Works well with others in a team environment
- Ability to independently use and refine AI-driven prompts to enhance the quality, efficiency, and insight of regular work processes
- Certification in cybersecurity or completion of a cybersecurity bootcamp preferred
- IAT Level II certification (e.g., CySA+, Security+) preferred
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree required
- For positions located in the US, conditional offers require a drug test
