Job Description
Senior specialist developing GIS, data management, and business application training for Mano Lani’s clients. Creating practical materials and delivering instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on instruction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on technical training
- Create lesson plans, presentations, user guides, exercises, job aids, and reference materials
- Evaluate training needs and recommend appropriate learning solutions
- Provide training on GIS applications, workflows, data management, and related business processes
- Update training materials as systems, processes, and requirements change
- Develop user manuals, quick-reference guides, and standard operating procedures
- Evaluate training effectiveness and incorporate user feedback
- Provide technical assistance to users following training
- Work with subject matter experts and client teams to turn technical processes into clear, practical training materials for end users
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Information Technology, Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience developing and delivering technical training
- Experience creating training materials, presentations, and user documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain technical information to users with different experience levels
- Ability to meet applicable client access requirements
- Experience providing GIS or software application training
- Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS applications
- Experience developing training for enterprise or government systems
- Knowledge of adult learning and instructional design practices
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to type and read from a computer screen
- Sufficient mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling
- Ability to walk moderate to long distances when required
- Possible ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
