Job Description
Platform Software Engineer building scalable vulnerability-management analytics for Nucleus Security, a cybersecurity company. Developing data ingestion, processing, and analytics features for customer vulnerability management.
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data-driven analytic features, from prototyping and experimentation through production deployment and customer delivery
- Build and evolve the security analytics platform to enable scalable data ingestion and post-ingestion processing
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to translate ambiguous requirements into robust technical solutions
- Diagnose, triage, and quickly resolve production issues to ensure reliability and continuous improvement of deployed systems
- Improve key application components to enable data scalability
Requirements:
- Mid-career software engineering experience
- Background in data analytics, data science, and/or data warehousing
- Familiarity with SQL, including performance optimization and complex query design
- Proficiency in PHP or a similar language for data processing
- Experience working in a test-driven environment and writing unit and integration tests
- Proven technical troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams across different time zones
- Experience with vulnerability scanning technologies on any part of the tech stack (preferred)
- Experience with column-store databases and columnar data, especially SingleStore/MEMSQL (preferred)
- Experience integrating AI/LLM-driven features with data platforms (preferred)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies in a professional setting (preferred)
- Experience maintaining applications on Linux platforms in cloud environments (preferred)
- Experience with modern PHP and Zend/Laminas Frameworks (preferred)
- Experience with modern React, Vite, and TanStack libraries (preferred)
