Job Description
Staff AI Scientist at Tempus developing AI-driven precision medicine solutions. Leading AI projects and designing multimodal AI models to improve clinical care.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and lead the development of AI-intensive projects from initial research to production-ready design
- Design and train state-of-the-art models utilizing multi-modal data
- Develop sophisticated AI solutions to support biomarker discovery and therapy outcome prediction
- Ensure all AI products meet stringent regulatory guidelines and quality standards for healthcare applications
- Maintain Tempus’s position as a thought leader by publishing original research in high-impact venues
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of industry experience leading end-to-end development of machine learning models
- Demonstrated expertise in large-scale deep learning and training production-grade models
- Experience in computer vision and multimodal modeling (pathology, multi-omics, etc.) is preferred
- A strong track record of peer-reviewed publications in leading machine learning or computer vision venues
- Proficiency in Python and the modern deep learning stack (e.g. Pytorch)
- Strong product-level coding skills for model development
