Job Description
Lead technology team focused on continuous education at Afya. Drive technical excellence and collaboration in a remote setting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development team technically, promoting engineering best practices, code reviews and continuous mentorship.
- Support the Product Manager in the technical analysis and refinement of requirements, ensuring clarity in user stories and accurate prioritization.
- Ensure scalability, observability and performance of web applications using our technology stack.
- Design and review architectures using Node.js, NestJS, NextJS, MongoDB and AWS (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudFront, EKS, among others).
- Act hands-on when necessary, contributing code and practical solutions.
- Ensure the team follows development and deployment processes, maintaining a high level of quality and reliability in deliveries.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security and product teams to ensure solutions align with corporate standards.
- Identify technical bottlenecks and propose improvements in architecture, performance and automation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related fields.
- Proven experience in technical leadership or coordination of development teams.
- Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, NextJS and MongoDB.
- Experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudFront, EKS, among others).
- Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD, security best practices and observability.
- Product mindset, sense of ownership and focus on technical quality.
