Job Description
Telephone Interviewer conducting computer-based market research surveys for Nichols Research. Placing outbound VOIP calls and accurately recording respondent feedback remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct computer-based market research surveys
- Place outbound calls using VOIP telephone software
- Explain the purpose of surveys and answer respondent questions
- Read computer-based survey questions clearly and verbatim
- Accurately record survey responses
- Clarify vague or incomplete responses when appropriate
- Follow all survey and data collection procedures
- Work independently in a remote environment
- Topics include current events, healthcare, customer satisfaction, politics, media usage, consumer products, and more
- This position does not involve sales, collections, fundraising, or telemarketing; there are no sales quotas and compensation is not commission-based
Requirements:
- Must currently reside in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming
- Excellent reading, listening, and verbal communication skills
- Strong dependability and professionalism
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- A quiet home workspace free from distractions
- A desktop or laptop computer
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.)
- Reliable high-speed internet with a minimum upload speed of 10 Mbps
- A personal mobile phone
- A webcam, microphone, and speakers/headset
- Prior telephone interviewing or call center experience is a plus
- Spanish bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
