Job Description
CAD- und KI-Trainer:in für eine Qualifizierung zur modernen digitalen Produktentwicklung. Vermittlung von Generative Design, KI-gestützten CAD-Workflows und technischer Bewertung.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering practical, industry-relevant training on CAD systems, Generative Design, and the professional use of AI in engineering
- Supporting engineering professionals from the mechanical engineering sector as they transition to modern digital product development
- Helping participants complete design tasks more efficiently with AI
- Teaching the effective and appropriate use of generative AI tools
- Guiding participants in the critical evaluation of technical solutions and AI-generated results
- Optimizing modern CAD and engineering workflows
- Teaching the responsible and cost-effective integration of AI into everyday professional practice
- Supporting the digital engineering process from the initial design task through AI-assisted analysis, generative variant development, technical evaluation and optimization, documentation, and practical implementation
- Enabling participants to adopt and use new technologies thoughtfully and successfully
Requirements:
- Degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, product development, design engineering, or a comparable field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in design engineering, product development, or CAD engineering
- Very good knowledge of at least one professional CAD system, such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Fusion
- Practical experience with parametric design and modern CAD workflows
- Strong knowledge of current AI applications in engineering and CAD
- Demonstrable experience using generative AI solutions productively, such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or comparable systems
- Experience with AI-assisted features in modern CAD systems, such as Generative Design or automated optimization
- Ability to assess AI-generated results from a sound technical perspective and critically challenge them
- Strong understanding of the opportunities, limitations, risks, and quality requirements associated with generative AI
- Experience teaching technical content to adults or comparable training experience
- Ideally, experience with Generative Design and topology optimization
- Knowledge of current developments in AI for engineering
- Experience analyzing and optimizing design processes
- Knowledge of parametric modeling and automated variant generation
- Experience with Prompt Engineering for technical applications
- Expertise in integrating AI into existing engineering workflows
- Experience evaluating the technical feasibility, manufacturability, and functionality of AI-generated solutions
- Knowledge of data protection, copyright, and responsible AI use in a corporate environment
- Experience in coaching, project work, or practice-oriented knowledge transfer
- Experience with Autodesk Fusion Generative Design or comparable solutions
- Knowledge of Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI, or similar platforms
- Experience with BIM-based AI applications
- Knowledge of Dynamo, Grasshopper, or other visual scripting solutions
- Experience with automation tools such as Python, Power Automate, or n8n
- Knowledge of digital product development, such as Digital Twin, PLM, or simulation
- Experience with AI-assisted documentation and knowledge management
- Knowledge of modern cloud CAD systems
- AEVO certification or comparable pedagogical qualification
