Job Description
AP World History and Human Geography tutor preparing US high school students for exams. Creating customized lessons through flexible online sessions for TPAPT’s tutoring consortium.
Responsibilities:
- Provide AP Test Prep Tutoring to students in grades 9-12
- Create customized lesson plans supporting individual academic goals
- Understand students' unique learning styles
- Conduct 60-90 minute tutoring assignments
- Maintain regular and reliable tutoring assignments
- Schedule sessions generally between 3PM and 9PM CST during the week and between 10am and 4pm CST for part of a weekend day
Requirements:
- 3-12 hours per week of availability
- Earned Bachelor's Degree
- Materials for the subject mentioned in the post
- Exceptionally strong communication skills
- A passion for helping others learn
- Familiarity with online lesson delivery
- State teaching certification (current/former) and experience teaching the AP subject mentioned in this post preferred
- Resume highlighting teaching or tutoring experience and length of time tutoring or teaching in a paid capacity
