Job Description

Vice President of Operations leading Arizona College of Nursing’s multi-campus academic and operational performance. Driving nursing education growth, compliance, budgets, and student outcomes across a regional campus network.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead academic and operational excellence across multiple campuses in an assigned region
  • Provide operational oversight of professional nursing programs
  • Serve as liaison between campus leadership and the Admin/Corporate Office
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train Campus Presidents
  • Manage direct reports through 1:1s, Quarterly Check-Ins, performance management, and training and development
  • Review quality indicators including enrollment, retention, placement, NCLEX pass rates, and compliance audits
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet Wildly Important Goals (WIGs)
  • Provide expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems
  • Perform capital expenditure and operational budget planning and ensure campus P&L goals are achieved
  • Oversee facility planning, including space, parking, security, emergency response, business continuity, maintenance, budgets, and furniture/supplies
  • Connect Campus Presidents with corporate resources to maintain compliant student records and administrative policies
  • Identify, recommend, and implement processes, technologies, and systems to streamline operations
  • Present periodic performance reports and metrics to the COO and other leaders
  • Cultivate a student-centric culture focused on communication, collaboration, and student satisfaction
  • Notify the corporate office of legal issues and supervisors of management-level personnel changes
  • Ensure Campus Presidents train and supervise employees effectively
  • Build employee morale through positive leadership
  • Resolve student complaints escalated beyond campus-level management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
  • Five years’ experience including two years in upper management required
  • Knowledge, skill, and ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Strong understanding of nursing education, campus operations, financial performance, compliance, and student success
  • Ability to lead operations across multiple campuses
  • Up to 50% travel to assigned campuses
  • Ability to recruit, interview, hire, and train Campus Presidents
  • Ability to manage direct reports and conduct performance management and development
  • Ability to analyze enrollment, retention, placement, NCLEX pass rates, and compliance audits
  • Ability to perform capital expenditure and operational budget planning and achieve P&L goals
  • Ability to oversee facility planning, security, emergency response, business continuity, maintenance, and supplies
  • Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and college SOPs
  • Ability to present performance reports and metrics to executive leadership
