Job Description

Finance Manager leading FP&A, reporting, and accounting for Oak Hill Bio, a rare disease therapeutics company. Supporting US and UK entities, GAAP compliance, close processes, and financial insight.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis
  • Provide analysis and insights into financial performance, trends, and business drivers
  • Partner with business and finance stakeholders to develop financial plans and forecasts
  • Translate financial data into insights and recommendations for leadership
  • Support scenario analysis and longer-term financial planning
  • Support accurate and timely monthly and quarterly close processes across US and UK entities
  • Work closely with US and UK Controllers to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information
  • Review financial results, investigate variances, and identify accounting or reporting issues
  • Support preparation and review of management and financial reporting
  • Assist with US/SEC reporting requirements
  • Help ensure consistent accounting and reporting practices across the group
  • Apply US GAAP and UK GAAP across a multi-entity environment
  • Support technical accounting matters and appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions
  • Develop understanding of group operations, entities, and financial activities
  • Partner with finance and operational teams across the US and UK
  • Improve financial processes, reporting, controls, and systems
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve finance process efficiency and accuracy
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and projects

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in finance, FP&A, financial reporting, or a combination of these areas
  • Strong biotech or life sciences industry experience is essential
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with UK GAAP
  • Experience with US/SEC reporting and related financial reporting requirements
  • Experience supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical capabilities
  • Experience working within a multi-entity or multi-group organization
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
  • Excellent Excel and financial analysis skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines
  • Experience working across US and UK finance teams
  • Experience in a public company or SEC reporting environment
  • Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or another highly regulated industry
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • Experience improving finance processes and controls
