Job Description
Finance Manager leading FP&A, reporting, and accounting for Oak Hill Bio, a rare disease therapeutics company. Supporting US and UK entities, GAAP compliance, close processes, and financial insight.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis
- Provide analysis and insights into financial performance, trends, and business drivers
- Partner with business and finance stakeholders to develop financial plans and forecasts
- Translate financial data into insights and recommendations for leadership
- Support scenario analysis and longer-term financial planning
- Support accurate and timely monthly and quarterly close processes across US and UK entities
- Work closely with US and UK Controllers to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information
- Review financial results, investigate variances, and identify accounting or reporting issues
- Support preparation and review of management and financial reporting
- Assist with US/SEC reporting requirements
- Help ensure consistent accounting and reporting practices across the group
- Apply US GAAP and UK GAAP across a multi-entity environment
- Support technical accounting matters and appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions
- Develop understanding of group operations, entities, and financial activities
- Partner with finance and operational teams across the US and UK
- Improve financial processes, reporting, controls, and systems
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve finance process efficiency and accuracy
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and projects
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
- Significant experience in finance, FP&A, financial reporting, or a combination of these areas
- Strong biotech or life sciences industry experience is essential
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with UK GAAP
- Experience with US/SEC reporting and related financial reporting requirements
- Experience supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical capabilities
- Experience working within a multi-entity or multi-group organization
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
- Excellent Excel and financial analysis skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines
- Experience working across US and UK finance teams
- Experience in a public company or SEC reporting environment
- Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or another highly regulated industry
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Experience improving finance processes and controls
