Job Description
Accounting Manager leading North American manufacturing accounting operations, controls, reporting, and audits. Supporting VistaPrint’s design, digital, and print solutions for small businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end accounting operations for US, Mexico, and Canadian manufacturing entities and other functional areas
- Translate leadership and business priorities into actionable work plans
- Manage timelines and resource coordination
- Serve as the primary business contact for the assigned area
- Provide accounting insights on key transactions and financial results
- Own defined accounting processes and associated North American legal entities end-to-end
- Manage the monthly and quarterly reporting cycle for the assigned scope
- Oversee accounting policy application and judgments across North America
- Drive automation, process redesign, and standardization initiatives
- Ensure consistent application of internal controls and governance frameworks across the region
- Provide direction, prioritization, and clear expectations to team members
- Foster team member growth through leadership as an individual contributor
- Coordinate as the central point for external and internal auditors within North America
- Manage audit documentation and alignment
Requirements:
- 7–10+ years of accounting experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of COGS, Inventory, PP&E, Shipping, and Labor accounting
- Experience owning functional areas or legal entities
- Experience leading and developing junior team members
- Proven experience in a public company setting
- Experience meeting strict deadlines and maintaining robust internal control and audit environments
- Deep knowledge of Leases, Capital Assets/Impairment, and Inventory
- Familiarity with North American indirect tax requirements
- Significant initiative and ability to anticipate process challenges and drive solutions independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft products
- Experience with SAP
- Strong interest in leveraging AI and automation to drive accounting efficiencies
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA certification is required; CMA or candidates actively pursuing CPA will also be considered
- Existing work authorization or H-1B status not subject to the stated filing fee may be considered; new H-1B petitions subject to the $100,000 filing fee are not sponsored
