Job Description
AI Engineer supporting the AI Center of Excellence by delivering AI solutions across the system lifecycle for federal IT environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy AI and machine learning models
- Manage data ingestion, preprocessing, validation, and feature engineering
- Build, deploy, and maintain AI infrastructure and pipelines
- Optimize model performance, scalability, and reliability
- Automate workflows and integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems
- Monitor models in production and implement continuous improvements
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and data teams in SAFe Agile environments
- Ensure solutions align with federal security, compliance, and governance requirements
- Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship (required)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI or higher background investigation
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Experience across the AI system lifecycle including development and deployment
- Proficiency with machine learning frameworks and programming languages
- Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery environments
