Job Description
AI red-teaming contractor probing conversational models for jailbreaks, bias, and misuse. Producing reproducible vulnerability data for Mercor’s frontier AI training projects.
Responsibilities:
- Red-team conversational AI models and agents
- Probe models for jailbreaks, prompt injections, misuse cases, bias exploitation, and multi-turn manipulation
- Generate human data by annotating failures and classifying vulnerabilities
- Flag systemic risks using structured taxonomies, benchmarks, and playbooks
- Produce reproducible reports, datasets, and attack cases for customers
- Review AI outputs involving sensitive topics such as bias, misinformation, and harmful behaviors
- Collaborate with leading researchers and contribute to training and enhancing frontier AI systems
Requirements:
- Fluent/native fluency in English and Punjabi
- Prior red teaming experience in AI adversarial work, cybersecurity, or socio-technical probing
- Ability to test AI models using jailbreaks, prompt injections, misuse cases, bias exploitation, and multi-turn manipulation
- Ability to annotate failures, classify vulnerabilities, and flag systemic risks
- Ability to follow taxonomies, benchmarks, and playbooks
- Ability to produce reproducible reports, datasets, and attack cases
- Ability to explain risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Adaptability across projects and customers
- Nice-to-have specialties: adversarial ML, cybersecurity, socio-technical risk, or creative probing
- Must be eligible to work as an independent contractor; H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
