Job Description
Part-time certified general appraiser inspecting Illinois commercial properties for Partner Valuation Advisors. Reviewing appraisal reports for USPAP compliance and traveling 50%+ monthly.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with on-site property inspections
- Perform final reviews of appraisal reports and client deliverables for USPAP compliance
- Verify subject property site and physical improvement descriptions and surrounding area descriptions observed during inspections
- Prepare necessary exhibits and memos illustrating inspections
- Travel frequently to on-site properties based on assigned work requests, with travel exceeding 50% per month
- Manage travel arrangements and associated expense reports
- Participate in internal and external client meetings as needed
- Build relationships with market and business line leaders to exchange best practices, accelerate innovation, and ensure quality and consistency
Requirements:
- Must permanently reside in central or southern Illinois
- Issued and active Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license in at least one state
- Active Certified General Appraiser License required; applicants without a CG license will not be considered
- Willingness to become licensed in multiple states
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another relevant field, required
- Strategic understanding of commercial real estate appraisal
- Active driver's license
- Ability to easily travel between states
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time/calendar management strongly desired
- Prior experience and expertise with Microsoft products, especially Outlook and Teams
- Must be able to drive to asset tours; airline travel may also be necessary
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person, by telephone, and via email
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading printed sources and computer screens
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
