Job Description

Part-time certified general appraiser inspecting Illinois commercial properties for Partner Valuation Advisors. Reviewing appraisal reports for USPAP compliance and traveling 50%+ monthly.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with on-site property inspections
  • Perform final reviews of appraisal reports and client deliverables for USPAP compliance
  • Verify subject property site and physical improvement descriptions and surrounding area descriptions observed during inspections
  • Prepare necessary exhibits and memos illustrating inspections
  • Travel frequently to on-site properties based on assigned work requests, with travel exceeding 50% per month
  • Manage travel arrangements and associated expense reports
  • Participate in internal and external client meetings as needed
  • Build relationships with market and business line leaders to exchange best practices, accelerate innovation, and ensure quality and consistency

Requirements:

  • Must permanently reside in central or southern Illinois
  • Issued and active Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license in at least one state
  • Active Certified General Appraiser License required; applicants without a CG license will not be considered
  • Willingness to become licensed in multiple states
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another relevant field, required
  • Strategic understanding of commercial real estate appraisal
  • Active driver's license
  • Ability to easily travel between states
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time/calendar management strongly desired
  • Prior experience and expertise with Microsoft products, especially Outlook and Teams
  • Must be able to drive to asset tours; airline travel may also be necessary
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person, by telephone, and via email
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading printed sources and computer screens
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
