Job Description

Cloud Infrastructure Architect designing secure, scalable AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. Presidio delivers cloud, cybersecurity, AI, and managed technology solutions for enterprise clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and document highly available, secure, and performant cloud-native architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Define engineering standards and reusable patterns for compute, networking, storage, containers, serverless, messaging, databases, and platform services
  • Integrate Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation
  • Establish and implement cloud adoption frameworks and landing zone strategies
  • Lead and architect end-to-end cloud migration initiatives, including assessment, planning, lift-and-shift, replatforming, and application modernization
  • Evaluate on-premises and hybrid workloads and define migration roadmaps aligned with business priorities, risk tolerance, and target architectures
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to validate migration readiness and ensure operational continuity
  • Lead implementation of CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure deployments
  • Engineer resilient, auto-scaling solutions using cloud-native tools
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks
  • Enforce cloud governance policies for tagging, resource usage, budgets, and identity management
  • Architect secure environments using IAM, encryption, key management, and network security controls
  • Support HIPAA, FedRAMP, and ISO 27001 requirements through secure design and audit readiness
  • Evaluate performance and cost efficiency and optimize workloads using rightsizing, reserved instances, and modern architectures
  • Conduct architecture reviews and well-architected assessments
  • Apply FinOps principles and tooling to improve cost transparency and optimize cloud spend
  • Embed resilience, fault tolerance, and operational visibility in solutions
  • Troubleshoot systemic cloud issues and drive root-cause resolution
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders
  • Lead discovery and design sessions and present architecture recommendations, roadmaps, and outcomes to executive stakeholders
  • Drive cloud adoption strategy across client organizations
  • Guide and mentor engineering and development teams on cloud-native best practices
  • Champion knowledge sharing through documentation, communities of practice, and enablement sessions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • 5+ years of client-facing consulting experience encompassing cloud and on-premises architecture strategy and delivery across enterprise environments
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, including hands-on expertise in cloud engineering or cloud architecture roles across AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS), virtualization, and cloud-native services
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and associated certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Architect Expert
  • Proficiency in Terraform, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps, and scripting languages such as Python and Bash
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, service meshes, and cloud networking
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience implementing cloud governance frameworks and security controls
  • Knowledge of hybrid and multicloud strategies and tooling
  • Experience with agile methodologies and DevSecOps culture
  • Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure patterns, GPU-backed compute environments, AI/ML pipeline architecture, vector database design, and LLM deployment on cloud platforms
  • Ability to lead engineering workshops and influence cloud adoption strategy across teams
  • Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
