Job Description

Architecture Manager leading software architecture strategy for high-impact technical project at CI&T. Collaborating on engineering excellence and client relationships to deliver scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, evolve, and govern architectures based on microservices and micro front-ends, ensuring:
  • Low coupling and high cohesion
  • Horizontal scalability
  • Resilience, fault tolerance, and graceful degradation
  • Evolvability and ease of maintenance
  • Make architectural decisions guided by technical trade-offs, considering non-functional requirements such as performance, security, cost, observability, and reliability.
  • Establish and disseminate engineering standards (coding standards, architectural patterns, integration patterns, API contracts).
  • Implement and monitor continuous improvement cycles (PDCA) focused on engineering.
  • Define and monitor quality and efficiency metrics, including:
  • Code quality (SonarQube: coverage, complexity, duplication, code smells)
  • DORA Metrics: lead time, deployment frequency, MTTR, and change failure rate
  • Translate technical data into clear action plans for evolving the architecture, processes, and team practices.
  • Serve as the technical reference for the team, promoting:
  • Continuous mentorship
  • Architecture-focused code reviews
  • Design review sessions and tech talks
  • Develop the team’s technical maturity, encouraging autonomy, systems thinking, and ownership of solutions.
  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.
  • Guide the strategic use of generative AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor), ensuring:
  • Real productivity gains
  • Maintenance of quality, security, and governance
  • Evaluate and support the integration of AI capabilities into software solutions, considering architecture, privacy, and compliance aspects.
  • Act as the primary technical interlocutor with the client.
  • Lead architectural alignment meetings, solution presentations, and technical roadmap follow-up.
  • Maintain on-site presence at the client 1 to 2 times per week to strengthen partnership, transparency, and trust.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Java, Node.js, and React, with a deep understanding of the architectural implications of each stack.
  • Strong knowledge of: microservices architecture, micro front-ends, synchronous and asynchronous integrations (REST, events, messaging).
  • Practical experience with AWS and designing scalable, resilient cloud architectures.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and SRE practices.
  • Experience with metrics-driven engineering and continuous improvement.
  • Technical leadership profile with a hands-on approach when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical decisions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong client relationship skills and the ability to lead strategic discussions.
