Job Description
SQL Architect for Burwood Group examining enterprise-level database resilience strategies with local government. Collaborating with consulting team to assess existing infrastructure and improve best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in scheduled meetings and serve as a subject matter expert on SQL Server architecture, enterprise backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
- Assess the current database infrastructure and use of Rubrik for backup and restore.
- Provide training on best practices and hands-on labs using Rubrik.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to answer technical questions and provide strategic insight.
- Deliver actionable recommendations that the project team can operationalize.
Requirements:
- Deep expertise in SQL Server architecture, including high availability, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies (e.g., Always On, clustering, replication)
- Proven hands-on experience with Rubrik for enterprise backup, restore, and data protection, including the ability to guide and train teams.
- Strong ability to assess existing environments and deliver actionable, strategic recommendations while effectively communicating with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver structured training sessions and hands-on labs to upskill teams on best practices and tools.
