Job Description
Associate Security Architect detecting and mitigating cyberattacks for Akamai's managed security customers. Protecting digital properties through Akamai's distributed cloud, edge, and security platform.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in critical network and attack-related events for Akamai's managed security customers
- Identify real-time cyber attacks
- Strategize and deploy mitigations while neutralizing adverse impact to end users
- Devise and engage mitigation strategies using Akamai products and platform
- Perform advanced analysis to identify attacks and threats to customers' digital properties and/or business networks
- Communicate with customers about challenges, mitigation updates, analysis, and results
- Innovate around tooling development and product enhancement
- Partner with other technical teams to detect and mitigate ongoing attacks
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of relevant industry experience on Akamai Platform, networking, or Web application security
- Knowledge of how the internet works, including DNS, HTTP, and IP protocols
- Knowledge of common OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and their relationship to internet service compromises or attacks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
