Job Description
Atlassian specialist rebuilding NATO’s Jira-Confluence cyber operations platform as a working mock-up. Capturing testable requirements and delivering video and live industry demonstrations.
Responsibilities:
- Build a simulated environment reproducing the live NATO cyber operations management platform across two networks
- Reproduce the Jira and Confluence relationship, production plugins, Jira operational processes, and supporting processes
- Recreate low-side workflow tracking from the high side, including hand-over and take-over
- Reproduce dynamically published Confluence pages, Jira issue-change publishing, and dynamic page templates for scaffolding and reporting
- Load sufficient mock data for every process to run at least ten times without reusing records
- Convert the mock-up into functional and non-functional requirements in a NATO AQAP-conforming format
- Identify data that would need to migrate to a replacement capability
- Draft requirements in Confluence and deliver them as a Word document
- Record a walkthrough introducing the platform and stepping through every requirement with timecodes
- Host the video for the contract period plus two months
- Present the mock-up online at an industry engagement day and answer questions
- Guarantee that the demonstration environment is operational on the live demo day
Requirements:
- Five years or more of Atlassian Jira Data Center administration
- Five years or more of Confluence Data Center administration
- Strong understanding of Jira and Confluence internals, including database-level knowledge
- Experience with Java, Groovy, and ScriptRunner
- Excellent Bash and Python scripting for automation and customisation
- Experience deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure
- Real experience with dynamic content management and Jira-to-Confluence integration
- Experience managing metadata across Confluence, Office, PDF documents, and SharePoint
- Linux server management experience; Red Hat preferred
- Valid security clearance
- Citizenship of a NATO member country
- Native English speaker or STANAG 6001 speaking level 4 for video narration
- Ability to deliver video at minimum 1920x1080 resolution using H.264/AVC with audio at 44 kHz or better
- Prior work on this platform is a considerable advantage
