Job Description
Azure Data Engineer designing secure cloud-native data platforms for Nordcloud's Data-Driven Business team. Involves building infrastructure for data access and GenAI services.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing modern, secure, cloud-native data platforms on Azure.
- Build the underlying infrastructure that makes data accessible for a new wave of data-powered apps and GenAI services.
Requirements:
- 8+ years in IT, with extensive hands-on experience building modern cloud data platforms and infrastructure
- Deep knowledge of the Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Lake Storage, KeyVault, Azure Monitor, Networking)
- Advanced proficiency with Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources
- Strong practical experience with Docker and AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service). You know how to efficiently deploy and manage workloads in production
- Mastery of Azure DevOps (pipelines, releases). You understand how to integrate security scanning, policies and compliance into the lifecycle (DevSecOps)
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation and glue code
- Experience with modern data processing and orchestration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Fabric or Airflow)
- A mindset for quality—writing automated infrastructure tests and data quality checks.
