Job Description
Backend Engineer building Golang services for Sensor Tower’s app market intelligence SaaS platform. Developing data features, APIs, queries, and performance improvements for AppMagic.
Responsibilities:
- Improve and build features for AppMagic, Sensor Tower’s app market intelligence SaaS platform focused on SMBs
- Participate in the full development life cycle, including design, implementation, quality polish, and release
- Perform parsing, data aggregation, API design, refactoring, and performance optimization
- Create and optimize complex database queries for analysis and modification
- Perform code reviews
- Suggest improvements to tools and processes
- Work with the backend stack: Golang, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to production systems
Requirements:
- +3 years of experience with Go; candidates with fewer years may be considered with meaningful GitHub contributions and other coding samples
- Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL and ClickHouse
- Ability to choose between ORM usage and raw SQL
- Ability to write and debug complex database queries
- Ability to write testable, reliable code
- Product-oriented mindset and focus on user needs
- Proactive curiosity and drive to investigate sources independently
- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus
- Ability to pass the technical interview in both Russian and English
- Hands-on, thoughtful use of AI tools in development
- Authorization to work in Kazakhstan without visa support now or in the future
