Job Description
Backend Engineer developing secure, tested PHP services for NordPass, a password manager protecting credentials and sensitive data. Contributing to onboarding features, architecture, and system maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to developing new features and maintaining existing systems
- Deliver high-quality, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code
- Participate in technical design decisions
- Refine processes and contribute to the product’s strategic direction
- Engage in and facilitate team ceremonies
- Improve team processes
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience working with PHP and developing codebases using Symfony or Slim
- Solid understanding of OOP, asynchronous programming, and design patterns
- Understanding of core CI/CD principles, unit testing, and integration testing
- Product engineering mindset focused on problems, outcomes, and impact
- Bonus: experience implementing and optimizing secure authentication flows such as OAuth, OIDC, and JWT
- Bonus: experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions
- Bonus: hands-on experience using AI tools for code generation, test creation, performance tuning, and debugging
- Bonus: experience with AWS services such as SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, EventBridge, ECS, and S3
- Bonus: familiarity with cryptography
- Bonus: familiarity with Kubernetes
- Tools/technologies: PHP 8, Golang, MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, DynamoDB, Sentry, Grafana, Docker, Git, Jira, and Confluence
- Must be currently based in Poland and able to work from Poland
