Job Description

C# Backend Developer developing and maintaining web-based software solutions and APIs for the real estate industry. Collaborating in an agile team to create software that adds real value for users.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and evolve backend services and APIs using C# and .NET
  • Design and implement REST interfaces
  • Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
  • Take active co-responsibility for the production operation of your applications
  • Possibly contribute to UI components in the .NET ecosystem (e.g., ASP.NET MVC, Blazor)
  • Analyze and sustainably resolve bugs and performance issues
  • Maintain and further develop established codebases
  • Identify technical debt and make well-founded assessments of when refactoring is sensible and when it is not
  • End-to-end responsibility for your services (deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting) — without on-call duty
  • Contribute to technical decisions within the team with a focus on maintainability and operability
  • Share knowledge and work closely within a small, autonomous team

Requirements:

  • Several years of experience as a software developer with C#/.NET
  • Strong skills in object-oriented software development
  • Experience with ASP.NET Core and OR mappers such as Entity Framework
  • Confident handling of relational databases
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
  • Willingness to work in established .NET codebases (e.g., .NET 4.8) and modernize them incrementally
  • Comfortable using AI tools to support the day-to-day development workflow
  • Experience with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ), Blazor, or MVC is a plus but not required
  • Some exposure to Docker, CI/CD, or Kubernetes is an advantage
  • Understanding of Clean Code, maintainable architectures, and automated testing
  • Ability to navigate existing codebases confidently and independently
  • Experience in product-facing environments (e.g., FinTech, platforms, SaaS) is a plus
