Job Description

Bauingenieur*in mit Schwerpunkt Schweißtechnik verantwortlich für die Gleisinfrastruktur der Berliner U-Bahn. Arbeiten in einem zukunftssicheren Umfeld mit flexiblen Arbeitszeiten und umfassenden Benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for solving highly complex technical tasks in the context of renovation, extension and renewal measures for the subway track infrastructure
  • Responsible for the design, review, planning, implementation and acceptance of complex track and turnout projects
  • Responsibility for the area of welding technology and leadership of welding specialist engineers
  • Act as deputy to the track construction district management and project control, including coordination with internal and external partners
  • Conduct market monitoring, prepare technical analyses and feasibility studies, and continuously optimize the track systems
  • Monitor health, occupational safety and fire protection during construction work and conduct quarterly work/safety briefings

Requirements:

  • Completed degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent skills and knowledge based on extensive professional experience
  • Excellent German language skills, written and spoken (C1 level)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., BOStrab, VOB, HOAI, VDV, VDE, DB guidelines, UVgO, occupational safety regulations)
  • Driver’s license class B and ideally qualification as a safety supervisor (Sicherheitsaufsichtskraft, Sakra)
  • Qualification as a welding specialist engineer (Schweißfachingenieur) or willingness to obtain it
  • Initial practical experience as a welding specialist engineer or a valid welding certificate is desirable
  • Decisiveness and assertiveness
