Job Description
Senior Civil Engineer specializing in power projects at Sargent & Lundy, performing civil engineering reviews and advising on project development.
Responsibilities:
- Perform civil engineering reviews, including storm water drainage and road design
- Support preparation and review of site layout and preliminary drainage designs
- Prepare and review technical specifications for construction requirements
- Advise power project developers
- Evaluate new power and infrastructure projects independently
- Develop technical reports for various audiences
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Master's degree in civil/structural engineering or business is a plus
- 8+ years of experience in design techniques, tools, and principles
- 5+ years of experience in detailed design of site grading and drainage
- Power plant project design experience
- Proficiency with civil engineering software programs such as Civil 3D, StormCad, PondPack, and Microstation or AutoCad
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical evaluation report writing
