Job Description
Clinical Systems Analyst overseeing hardware and software solutions for clinical systems reporting to the Chief Services Officer. Collaborating with clients on implementation, maintenance, and technical support of clinical information systems.
Responsibilities:
- The Clinical Systems Analyst reports directly to the Chief Services Officer.
- Work collaboratively with clients to plan, install, implement, and maintain hardware and software solutions
- Design, manage, and oversee projects and tasks for our clients
- Configure, build, document, test, modify, and maintain software applications
- Proactively problem solve and determine the best course of action to meet the needs of our clients and their customers
- Work closely with end users to troubleshoot, diagnose and correct problems related to applications by identifying malfunctions in hardware and software
- Collaborate loosely with client’s technical team to maintain continuity of process
- Conduct system enhancements/new features, build, upgrades/quarterly updates and optimizations
- Analyze business requirements and translate into system requirements making necessary revisions to system logic
- Perform system customizations including the development of alerts/hard stops, data integration, order generation, automation of document entry and enforcement of adherence to workflows
- Abide by HIPAA regulations of confidentiality for all activities and information accessed
- Participate in the development of tools and training for end users’ competencies
- Ensure clinical upgrades, patches and enhancements are comprehensively planned and tested before applying in the production environment
- Establish concise ad-hoc reports
- Determine project priorities based on the needs of our clients. Ensure completion of projects in a timely manner to comply with established deadlines.
- Actively work with Chief Services Officer and clients to determine and or adjust project priorities
- Perform and/or oversee ongoing maintenance of the Information Systems and their interfaces, as well as support activities of our clients
- Provide technical support to our clients
- Provide information and training related to Information Systems to our clients
- Problem solves for clients
- Develop and maintain good relationships with clients and clients’ staff
- Other tasks and projects as assigned by the CEO, or the Chief Services Officer
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
- Medical Technologist Degree (e.g., MT, MLT, MLS, etc.) (Preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Clinical Processes (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Laboratory Information Systems (Required)
- Minimum 3 years of Data Innovations Instrument Manager experience, including Rules (Preferred)
- Knowledge of clinical standards, documentation methods and existing practices
- Demonstrated technical skills and aptitudes related to all computer related activities
- Demonstrated ability to understand all laboratory related computer applications, and the ability to learn and apply new applications and programs
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to work around infectious biological specimens, caustics, toxic chemicals and irritants appropriately and safely
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft 365
- Ability to work remotely
- Ability to travel up to 25%
