Job Description
DaaS Services Engineer implementing and sustaining cloud data platforms and industrial data solutions at Yokogawa. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer outcomes and SLAs.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and sustain cloud data platforms and industrial data solutions end‑to‑end
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet customer outcomes and SLAs
- Execute internal design, system build, and testing in support of solution road map
- Develop and maintain documentation for pre/post‑implementation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or Equivalent Level of experience
- Experience in providing customer support in an IT solutions environment
- Familiarity with cloud data engineering and industrial data systems concepts
- Experience working with cloud products and technologies
- Familiarity with Relational Databases (e.g, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Familiarity with time-series data management
- Knowledge of industrial protocols and data historians; (e.g., OPC DA/UA, MQTT, Modbus, COM/DCOM)
- Experience with OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System a plus
- Programming skills across various languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and architectures a plus
- Experience providing training to small groups a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Willingness and ability to learn new tools quickly
- Empathy to customers reporting software issues
- Understanding of energy‑sector operations, particularly within oil & gas, refining, and petrochemical environments a plus
- Ability to work well in a virtual team environment under supervision and willingness to assist others.
