Job Description

Data Center Virtualization Engineer operating enterprise VMware, networking, and storage platforms. Supporting cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions for U.S. clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and operate VMware-based virtualization platforms
  • Manage software-defined networking and software-defined storage platforms
  • Support on-premises and hybrid cloud environments
  • Work across vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria, and Tanzu platforms
  • Automate platform operations and capacity management
  • Operate VMware platforms at enterprise scale
  • Troubleshoot compute, network, and storage layers
  • Apply operations discipline while supporting modern cloud-native workloads

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience stated for the position
  • Five or more years of hands-on VMware platform engineering experience
  • Deep expertise in vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi
  • Hands-on experience with vSAN and storage policy management
  • Experience with NSX-T or NSX-V networking
  • Strong PowerCLI scripting skills and experience with automation tooling
  • Familiarity with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid or VMware container platforms
  • Strong understanding of disaster recovery patterns and SRM
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, network, and storage layers
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VCAP credentials preferred
  • Experience with VMware Cloud on AWS, AVS, or GCVE preferred
  • Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) preferred
  • Experience with Aria Operations / vRealize Operations preferred
  • Exposure to migration programs out of VMware to alternative virtualization platforms preferred
