Job Description

Data Science Tech Lead directing a multi-functional data squad for credit products. Leading innovations in a fully remote fintech company.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide and develop the cross-functional data team within a credit context
  • Ensure the definition, monitoring, and reliability of credit metrics, KPIs, and dashboards that guide the evolution of customer experience and business impact
  • Lead the implementation of experiments (A/B tests), advising the team on statistical methodologies and best practices for causal inference
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and Credit leadership to identify improvement opportunities, formulate hypotheses, and measure impact
  • Review team code and deliverables, providing technical feedback and ensuring quality
  • Track product and data trends, introducing innovations that enhance the company’s competitiveness
  • Foster a collaborative, impact-oriented work environment

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent practical experience in Data Analysis/Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or related fields
  • Strong experience in SQL
  • Experience in Python, including statistical analysis and experimentation
  • Experience with agile methodologies and leading data teams in a credit context
  • Knowledge of statistics applied to hypothesis testing and credit experiments
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accessibly to different audiences (technical and non-technical)
  • Experience with code versioning (GitHub)
  • Professional experience with BI tools (Metabase, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
