Job Description
Data Scientist role at WiredPeople utilizing technical expertise to drive decision-making through data insights. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing priorities under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business and strategic decisions
- Develop and apply statistical models, analytical frameworks, and/or machine learning techniques
- Translate technical findings into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Create visualizations, reports, and presentations that make data easy to understand and act upon
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver data-driven solutions
- Manage competing priorities and deadlines with professionalism and adaptability
- Apply strong emotional intelligence when navigating conflict, ambiguity, or differences of opinion
- Maintain high standards for data quality, documentation, and analytical rigor.
Requirements:
- Strong technical acumen in data analysis, statistics, and/or machine learning
- Proven ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly and effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated humility and a collaborative, team-first mindset
- High emotional intelligence, with the ability to handle conflict and pressure constructively
- Experience working in fast-paced or high-accountability environments
- Background in consulting firms (bonus)
- Experience in military, academia, or federal environments (bonus)
- Prior contract roles with successful transition to full-time employment (bonus)
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders across organizational levels (bonus).
