Job Description
Database Developer seeking to design and optimize databases with SQL Server and Power BI for AI productivity. Collaborating in an AI-first engineering culture on enterprise-grade applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize relational database architectures to support enterprise applications
- Write, review, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, views, triggers, and stored procedures
- Perform data migration, transformation, and cleansing across multiple environments
- Develop, schedule, and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes
- Design and implement data models for reporting and analytics
- Build and publish Power BI dashboards and reports, integrating data from multiple sources
- Monitor and improve database performance, scalability, and security
- Collaborate closely with application developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data integrity and performance
- Use AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity, accelerate coding tasks, and automate repetitive database operations
- Support data-driven decision-making through BI and analytics solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or later)
- Strong experience in database design, normalization, and optimization
- Expert-level proficiency in T-SQL, including advanced query tuning and indexing
- Proven experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL processes
- Experience in data migration between heterogeneous systems
- Proficiency in Power BI report creation and data modeling
- Familiarity with database security, roles, and permissions
- Ability to use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Azure OpenAI, etc.) for query optimization, data analysis, and documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
