Job Description
Design Engineer crafting polished React/TypeScript product and marketing experiences for Trigger.dev’s open-source AI agent platform. Building design systems, accessible UI, and production features.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build polished UI across the web app and marketing site
- Collaborate with engineering to build new features with strong UX and design craft
- Own design decisions from rough concept through shipped production code
- Build and evolve the design system and component library
- Improve accessibility, responsiveness, and interaction polish across existing product surfaces
- Prototype ideas quickly in code and static mockups
- Promote stronger design and UX practices across the engineering team
- Help customers, review pull requests, and create issues in the open-source community
- Keep documentation up to date
- Contribute to product-led growth content, including code examples, blog articles, videos, and tweets
Requirements:
- Strong portfolio showing design quality and ability to ship production UI
- Expertise in modern frontend engineering, specifically React and TypeScript
- Experience with Remix
- Sharp eye for visual and interaction detail, including typography, spacing, and motion
- Ability to work directly from a problem statement and drive design decisions independently
- Remote candidates must be within CET to ET timezones (GMT+1:00 to GMT-5:00)
- Experience owning design end-to-end at a small startup
- Experience at a developer tools company or strong empathy for developers as end users
- Experience building or evolving a design system or component library
- Track record of shipping quickly and iterating in public
- UK-based candidates able to join the team in London
