Job Description
Digital Asset Management & Library Systems Manager at Bose responsible for managing enterprise asset ecosystem. Driving metadata standards and optimizing asset systems for business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) strategy and multi-year roadmap
- Serve as system owner for DAM platforms (e.g., Bynder, SharePoint, Rights Cloud)
- Establish enterprise-wide standards for metadata, taxonomy, naming conventions, permissions, and rights management
- Develop and maintain retention, archival, and destruction policies in partnership with Legal and Compliance
- Lead R.O.T. (Redundant, Obsolete, Trivial) data reduction initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce storage costs
- Ensure audit readiness and governance compliance
- Design scalable metadata frameworks and controlled vocabularies
- Improve asset discoverability, usability, and consistency across the organization
- Drive system optimization through audits, clean-ups, and continuous improvement
- Build and document streamlined ingestion, tagging, archiving, and distribution workflows
- Partner with Creative and Production teams to embed DAM practices into daily processes
- Lead migrations, consolidations, and large-scale archival projects
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to track usage, storage, compliance, and efficiency gains
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, eliminate duplication, and improve speed-to-market
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership
- Responsibility for auditing expiring assets across internal and external platforms, regularly communicating expiration reports, and partnering cross-functionally to determine which assets should be renewed, refreshed, or retired.
Requirements:
- 7–10+ years in digital asset management, archives, or enterprise information governance
- Experience leading DAM strategy or systems at scale
- Strong knowledge of metadata standards (Dublin Core, MARC, schema.org), taxonomy design, and archival best practices
- Experience with creative asset licensing (Video, Imagery, Marketing Collateral, Talent Agreements etc)
- Hands-on experience with DAM platforms (Bynder, SharePoint, or similar)
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders
- Strong analytical and operational mindset
