Job Description

Italian-speaking Digital Trust and Safety Specialist moderating social media content for Mercier Consultancy Group’s international staffing clients. Protecting users, enforcing policies, and reporting emerging digital threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and moderate content posted on social media platforms to ensure compliance with community standards and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor incoming user reports to identify potential policy violations, including hate speech, harassment, and harmful content.
  • Apply nuanced judgment to sensitive material to protect the integrity of the digital ecosystem and enhance user safety.
  • Maintain high accuracy and efficiency standards within a performance-driven social media moderation environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine safety protocols and adapt to evolving trends in digital content regulation.
  • Document and report emerging threats to user safety to ensure a secure environment for the platform’s Italian-speaking community.
  • Stay updated on local and international legislative changes that impact social media content safety.

Requirements:

  • Native or fluent Italian (spoken and written) is strictly required.
  • Valid EU passport (mandatory) is required to facilitate relocation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make objective, policy-based decisions.
  • Resilience and emotional maturity, with ability to manage exposure to sensitive content professionally.
  • Strong command of English for global team meetings and training sessions.
  • Previous experience in content moderation or trust and safety is considered a strong advantage.
