Job Description
Regional Field Safety Specialist focusing on safety compliance in Germany and surrounding regions for a multinational tech company. Conducting audits, coaching, and managing safety programs throughout Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field safety audits, inspections, and ride-alongs with Field Service Engineers across Europe
- Coach employees and field leaders on safe work practices, hazard recognition, Lockout/Tagout, machine safeguarding, ergonomics, and contractor safety
- Serve as the regional subject matter expert for customer health and safety requirements, ensuring compliance documentation is accurate and maintained
- Develop and standardize safety programs, SOPs, RAMS, JHAs, risk assessments, forms, and customer-required documentation
- Conduct compliance audits and identify opportunities to improve safety performance and standardization
- Lead or support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Manage regional safety data within VelocityEHS, including incidents, inspections, hazards, and corrective actions
- Partner with Works Councils, customers, regulators, and internal stakeholders to support regional compliance initiatives
- Monitor changes in European health and safety regulations and recommend improvements
- Travel throughout Europe (approximately 20%) to support field operations and customer sites
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of EHS experience supporting field service, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or multi-site operations
- Experience managing customer health and safety documentation, contractor safety, and regulatory compliance across Europe
- Fluent in English; German proficiency strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of European health and safety regulations and country-specific compliance requirements
- Experience developing safety programs, SOPs, RAMS, JHAs, and risk assessments
- Experience conducting field audits, safety observations, ride-alongs, and compliance assessments
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Ability to work independently while managing priorities across multiple countries
- High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Europe
