Job Description

Technical Field Advisor providing on-site technical direction for Steam Turbine Generator System maintenance and operations. Managing emergency responses and ensuring compliance with technical standards in power generation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, perform, coordinate, and/or monitor Steam Power site activities
  • Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation
  • Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment
  • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer's sites
  • Write technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, prepare job status reports, and manage expense sheets
  • Supervise critical tasks when performed by third parties
  • Prepare timely technical reports for customer records and future reference
  • Ensure all parts needed for the job are shipped to the site
  • Perform aftermarket upgrades at the site level

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related discipline from an accredited university with a 3.0 or higher GPA; or a High School Diploma / GED with 4+ years of experience in a Field Services or power generation equipment maintenance role
  • Obtain and maintain unescorted security clearance for nuclear facilities across North America
  • Experience working on customer sites
  • Strong technical skill in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams
  • Technically oriented, fast-learner, self-starter with a solid understanding of Steam Turbine Operation and Controlling Parameters OR Steam Boiler Operational Principals
