Job Description

Contrôleur financier pilotant la planification, les prévisions et la comptabilité canadiennes d’Asplundh, entreprise de services arboricoles. Soutien aux décisions stratégiques et à la performance financière Canada–États-Unis.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual planning cycle, quarterly forecasting and long-term projections
  • Collaborate with operations teams to translate activities into financial projections
  • Analyze variances, identify risks and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure financial assumptions are aligned with strategic direction
  • Oversee all accounting activities
  • Prepare and coordinate internal financial reporting
  • Work with external partners on tax obligations
  • Establish and monitor financial performance indicators
  • Optimize accounting processes and controls
  • Act as a key financial partner to operational teams
  • Communicate financial issues, risks and opportunities
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve performance and profitability
  • Support strategic initiatives and major bids
  • Analyze costs and operational performance levers
  • Perform scenario analyses and investment evaluations
  • Contribute to process improvements through automation and analytical tools

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in finance (accounting, financial planning & analysis, operational finance or controllership)
  • University degree in accounting, finance or business administration
  • CPA designation required or strongly preferred
  • MBA (asset)
  • Experience in multi-site or complex environments
  • Experience in business partnering and influencing senior management
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial modelling
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
  • Ability to simplify financial information and influence non-financial stakeholders
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, advanced Excel and business intelligence tools
  • Ability to operate in a transforming and fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written) required
  • Ability to combine strategic vision with operational execution
  • Strong results orientation
