Job Description
Founding Engineer at Oodle working on disruptive distributed systems and observability products. Collaborating with a unique team of seasoned entrepreneurs to optimize software and culture.
Responsibilities:
- Disrupt a large existing market with deep technical insights. You’ll be on the ground floor of creating a product
- Wear multiple hats - rapid experimentation to find customer needs, and building software, talking to customers, eliminating ambiguity, and focusing/deciding on the things that matter.
- Optimize our software stack and database engine for cost, performance and scale. Every CPU cycle counts!
- Set the foundation for company culture and help grow the team
Requirements:
- Entrepreneurial mindset - you can’t stop thinking about starting a company one day or want to be a part of journey creating something extraordinary that everyone thought was barely possible
- 5-8+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience architecting and developing large scale distributed systems, database systems or storage systems
- Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages like Go, Java, C/C++, Scala, Python, Rust
- Architecting observability systems from ground up is a huge plus
- Familiarity with one or more of the following areas: distributed systems, storage systems, caching systems, LLMs, and AI.
