Job Description
Freelance Quality Controller reviewing German clinical translations for IQVIA’s life-sciences solutions. Verifying linguistic accuracy, formatting, and critical medical content.
Responsibilities:
- Perform post-linguistic quality control on key documents
- Verify that no paragraphs are missing or untranslated
- Ensure target file formatting accurately reflects the source
- Verify tracked changes from the source are correctly implemented in the target
- Check language accuracy of inclusion and exclusion criteria
- Verify numbers, symbols, and units, including dosage and time units
- Check drug names, sponsor names, protocol and study titles
- Verify proper names, including PI and other relevant names
- Review headers, footers, tables of contents, and links
- Detect formatting issues, missing content, and errors in key text areas
- Coordinate with translators and project managers
Requirements:
- Experience in multilingual quality control or a related field
- Ability to read and understand both English and German
- Comfortable reviewing medical and technical content
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and its Review functions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with translators and project managers
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Experience in translation quality control and linguistic services preferred
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and standards preferred
- Familiarity with different language scripts and alphabets is a plus
