Job Description
Software Engineer designing and developing virtual care solutions for healthcare at AvaSure. Responsible for coding, debugging, and maintaining applications in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- A Software Engineer is responsible for designing and developing software applications
- Perform coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process
- Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Write well-designed, testable code with minimal rework required
- Write unit tests to cover all (or as much as possible) of code written
- Participate in code reviews to improve the quality of code written
- Document and maintain software functionality
- Perform root cause analysis and/or log review for issues found with the codebase
- Debug existing code to identify and eliminate bugs and errors
- Recommend improvements to existing software or design concepts
- Develop prototypes to demonstrate possible applications of new technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field (Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, etc.) is required
- 2-4 years' related experience is required
- C#, React, and Node experience is required
- C++, JavaScript, MongoDB, CSS are preferred
- Takes initiative in resolving issues and improving the codebase
- Able to assist/guide associate and junior-level software engineers
