Job Description

Graphic Designer creating branding, digital, print, web, and multimedia materials for HHS events. Supporting Arlo Solutions’ information technology consulting services with accessible government-approved designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop event branding and visual identities, including themes, logos, color palettes, and design standards
  • Design digital graphics, event guides, fact sheets, information papers, flyers, and social media graphics
  • Create and refresh presentation templates and format speaker and leadership presentation decks
  • Design graphics for branded event sites, mobile apps, and email campaigns
  • Design and maintain event site pages, layouts, and landing pages
  • Ensure web pages are user-friendly, responsive, and conformant with Section 508 and web accessibility standards
  • Produce walk-on videos, session openers, and other multimedia content
  • Add captions and accessibility features to videos
  • Design directional, registration, session, and digital signage, name badges, and other on-site materials
  • Support on-site signage changes during events
  • Design certificates, plaques, trophies, and commemorative items, including engraving and print layouts
  • Prepare proofs for Government review and approval
  • Ensure design products meet Section 508 requirements, including color contrast, alternative text, and accessible PDF formatting
  • Deliver editable source files and organize files for transfer to the Government-designated repository
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Communications Specialist and copy editor
  • Support post-event photography and videography editing
  • Manage revisions through the Government review process and meet deliverable deadlines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Three or more years of professional graphic design experience, with a portfolio showing event, print, and digital work
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience with photo and video editing tools
  • Working knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards and creating accessible PDFs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and revisions under deadline
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to successfully complete an HHS background investigation
  • No clearance required
  • Experience designing for Federal agencies or large-scale conferences is desired
