Job Description
Group Manager overseeing Turkey accounting, audits, controllership and financial reporting for WNS, an intelligent operations and transformation company. Preparing IFRS statements, tax filings and business reports while driving process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage closing, controllership, audits, accounting and financial reporting for the Turkey Market
- Prepare standalone and consolidated year-end financial statements under IFRS / Local GAAP
- Collaborate with stakeholders, the Local Finance team and auditors to obtain audited financial statements
- Coordinate with auditors, finance and business teams to resolve audit queries
- Ensure timely completion of statutory and tax audits
- Handle accounting and reporting for various entities
- Review monthly and quarterly P&L and balance sheet accounting and reporting
- Prepare and submit balance sheet schedules
- Prepare timely business reports with accurate variance explanations
- Support timely filing of tax returns, indirect tax filings, transfer pricing reports and segment P&Ls
- Work on liquidation of legal entities
- Participate in new initiatives and projects focused on process improvement and automation
- Monitor open payables and open item management
- Manage stakeholders and develop effective working relationships with business teams
Requirements:
- Chartered accountant
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a multinational company with global reporting responsibility
- Experience in financial reporting, accounting, audits, book closing and controllership reporting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS / Local GAAP
- Strong knowledge of Turkish GAAP and tax regulations
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Turkish and English language skills
- Experience in a Big4 or similar large accounting firm environment preferred
- Strategic thinking, effective communication, creativity and innovation, professional excellence, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
