Job Description

HR/Benefits Specialist managing HR and benefits programs at WVU Health System. Ensuring accuracy in benefits enrollments and supporting service requests in a shared services environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the administration of HR & benefits/retirement programs
  • Support the administration of HR & Benefits processes including internal mobility, life events, separations and Health & Welfare plans
  • Administer Tuition Assistance programs and perform process & data audits across the HR function
  • Address service requests escalated from the Tier 1 Customer Service team
  • Coordinate with third-party providers for program delivery

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and five years of experience in the administration of HR, Benefits or Audit/Compliance programs
  • Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field and three years of experience in administration of HR, Benefits or Audit/Compliance programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field and one to two years of experience in administration of HR, Benefits or Audit/Compliance programs
  • Master’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
  • SHRM or HRCI certification
  • CEBS certification
