Job Description
HR Data Scientist focusing on People Analytics driving talent strategies with AI-driven insights at GM. You'll apply advanced ML techniques in production-grade settings promoting employee experience and business performance.
Responsibilities:
- leverage expertise in machine learning, AI, and HR data to design and deploy predictive models
- lead the development of AI-driven insights that directly influence talent and workforce strategy
- work with cutting-edge tools such as Databricks, Workday, and Azure
- collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, engineers, People Analytics Consultants, and HR partners
- deliver production-grade People Analytics projects such as attrition prediction and hiring funnel analytics
- apply techniques such as classification, regression, NLP, clustering, and forecasting to address workforce challenges
- translate model outputs into clear, actionable insights for HR and business leaders.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in data engineering or analytics, with demonstrated delivery of data platforms or ML/AI solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PySpark, TensorFlow, XGBoost, GPBoost, among others) with experience managing experiments and deployments through MLflow
- Strong understanding of data privacy and ethical AI principles
- Proficiency in Databricks (preferred)
- Experience in People Analytics or HR technology environments (preferred).
- Strong understanding of HR data and employee lifecycle processes (recruiting, development, engagement, workforce planning).
- Degree in quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
