Job Description
Indigenous youth facilitators leading peer-to-peer mental health and healing conversations across Canada. Completing training and facilitating safe, supportive sharing circles through Jack.org.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate live sharing circles for Indigenous youth
- Guide participants in exploring lessons and reflections from the video portion
- Generate group discussion and connection around mental health and healing
- Build mental health literacy and normalize conversations about mental health
- Help reduce stigma related to mental health and illness
- Prepare and facilitate the Jack Talk for Indigenous Youth
- Connect with peers through contact-based education and peer-to-peer outreach
Requirements:
- Open to Indigenous youth ages 18–29
- Interest in joining a movement of Indigenous young people leading mental health and wellbeing discussions
- Entry-level opportunity
- Complete comprehensive training in group facilitation, public speaking, and advocacy
- Facilitate vital mental health conversations with peers in a safe and supportive way
